Peter Flack Productions was born out of necessity. The publisher of my last four books gave me notice that they were thinking about changing their business and could not guarantee that they would be publishing books in future.
I have been lucky in that, over the years, they have taught me a lot about book production and they have both agreed to complete book number three in the series (on bushbuck) and offered to help me with the next one on sitatunga but, after that, I was on my own.
Half way through a five book series on all the spiral horns, I felt I would be letting everybody down, including myself, if I did not complete it. In addition, I like writing books and have others kicking around in my head. So what about them? And then there are the odd manuscripts that friends and acquaintances send me to read. So, to cut a long story short, I have decided to publish and distribute my own books and DVDs and, maybe, one or two others.
If my past business experience is anything to go by, I am sure I have a lot more to learn than I now imagine. In my previous mining career, I developed the following rule: things cost three times as much, take twice as long and make half what you envisaged, so I cannot say I am not prepared.
